Yakutovich Georgy Vyacheslavovich
1930-2000
People's Artist of Ukraine.
Yakutovich Georgy Vyacheslavovich was born on February 14, 1930 in Kiev. According to Sergei Yakutovich, a famous Ukrainian artist, son of Georgy Vyacheslavovich (interview with the newspaper "Ukraine is young"), the Yakutovichs themselves are from Belarus: the village of Voronovoe, Gomel province. And in Kiev, they teamed up with Sincillo. There was such a Sincillo-Stefanovsky, a friend of Taras Shevchenko, who had an art school in Podil and painted churches. The Yakutovichs were contractors, built churches: this was the misalliance of the clans. It's on the paternal side. And according to my mother's - my grandfather studied in the same class with Bulgakov at the First Kiev Gymnasium, my great-grandfather is a professor at the Kiev University of St. Vladimir, the founder of the Institute of Microbiology.
The future Ukrainian graphic artist Georgy Yakutovich studied art at the Kiev Art Institute.

In addition to book graphics, Georgy Yakutovich created separate engravings on historical themes: "Ivan Vyshensky", "Oleg Gorislavich", cycles on the themes of Ukrainian folk tales, ancient Ukrainian music; postcards based on Ukrainian folk songs. The author of the memoirs about Sergei Parajanov "Unfinished Confession" in the book "Sergei Parajanov. Splash. Tragedy. Eternity". (K., 1994).
