The oldest bottle of Old Ingledew whiskey, which dates back to the XVIII century, was sold at the Skinner Auctioneers auction. The cost of the container with bourbon inside was 137 thousand dollars. The sale of the bottle became known in April of this year. The exact date of release of whiskey is unknown, it is believed that it was made in the period from 1763 to 1803, as evidenced by the results of carbon analysis of the liquid inside.

The label says that the bourbon once belonged to John P. Morgan, an American entrepreneur and banker who was fond of collecting works of art. Experts have confirmed that the financier purchased a large batch of alcoholic beverages in 1902, paying 7.6 thousand dollars. According to preliminary estimates, the bottle could go under the hammer for 20-40 thousand dollars. Of course, the fact that the bottle was kept in the Morgan collection affected the final price of the lot.
