A resident of the village of Sukhovolya (Lviv region) Nikolai Pavlishin collects objects that are rarely found in private collections. The objects of his hobby are straw cutters - devices that grind animal feed. Pavlishin has almost 80 old copies in his collection, released in ten countries around the world.

At the very beginning of the last century, straw cutters were not cheap: they could be purchased by wealthy farmers and estate owners. After the First World War, many more such devices began to be produced, and in the late 40s, straw cutting became a common thing on the farm. One of the most famous manufacturers was the English company Bental, which supplied its products to other countries. In Lviv, at the end of the XIX century, a model produced at the factory of the Czech entrepreneur František Wichterle was presented at the exhibition. Agricultural machinery was also collected in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

Mykola Pavlyshyn keeps the entire collection at home and dreams of opening a museum, which has no analogues in Ukraine so far.
