Visiting historical places where exhibits from the British Royal Collection are kept, you can see a large number of antique furniture items. A special place in this collection is given to French furniture, especially products created during the Old Regime (Pre-Revolutionary France). The works of such cabinetmakers as Pierre-Antoine Bellanger, Georges Jacob, Martin Carlen and others are presented here. One of the most influential masters was Andre-Charles Boule, who developed a special style known as the "boule technique". There are works by Robert Hume (England), Johann Daniel Sommer (Germany), as well as works by unknown authors in the collection. Bookcases, armchairs, chairs, dressers, tables, mirrors – each of these items is a wonderful masterpiece.
