Investment coins dedicated to the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people were issued in the USA. Two one-dollar coins have become another reflection of the struggle of the Ukrainian people with enemies in numismatics.

Numismatic novelties received a similar design. Their reverses are decorated with images of women embodying the image of freedom. The author of the sketches was the artist and medalist Adolf Alexander Weinman. Similar designs were used for the 50 cent change coin, which was minted in 1916-1947.

On the reverse of the first coin there is a woman in a white dress and a flower wreath against the background of a blue and yellow flag. On the reverse of the second is a woman in a dress reminiscent of the color of the Ukrainian flag. In the hands of each of them carries a bouquet of flowers: in the first case - a bouquet of various field plants, in the second - a bouquet of sunflowers.

The obverses of the coins are decorated with the image of an American eagle in flight. On one of the coins it is multi-colored, on the other - in the classic image for coins.

Sunflowers for one of the coins were not chosen by chance. These wildflowers have long symbolized love for their homeland. A parallel is drawn here: just as a flower bows its head after sunset, a person loses heart when he finds himself in foreign lands. The sunflower and its craving for the Sun turn into a collective image of what native land can mean for a person.

Recall that earlier the White House souvenir shop began selling coins dedicated to the video speech of Vladimir Zelensky in the US Congress. Proceeds from the sale will be used to help the people of Ukraine.
