The phrase, with which the Ukrainian border guards "met" the ship of the Russian invaders, has become a kind of collective image of the determination and rebelliousness of the entire Ukrainian people. She found her reflection in many collectibles, and above all in philately.

This envelope with a Russian warship has become the most expensive lot of its kind in recent months. And it was sold at a blitz price for almost UAH 7,000.

Of course, without the author of the phrase, which today has become a landmark for millions of Ukrainians, there would be neither this envelope nor the sensational stamp. Surely, the border guard and one of the defenders of the Zmeiny Island, Roman Gribov, did not even suspect that by saying this he would become famous.

But not only this phrase aroused the interest of collectors in postage stamps and envelopes with a Russian ship. Philatelic products turned into something prophetic, because the flagship of the Russian fleet still went where it was sent. After the sinking of the ship, interest in stamps and envelopes of this subject increased even more. The philatelists wanted to get into their collection a sheet of each denomination of postage stamps with a ship to make this theme look complete. However, envelopes and other philatelic products associated with this story have also found their way into the collections. And this is a story to be continued...

As a reminder, earlier we wrote about the sale of an envelope with a stamp from the section "Philately" on Violiti, which adorned the autograph of the author of the prophetic phrase Roman Gribov. The seller redirected all the proceeds for the lot to the purchase of ammunition for the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
