Competition between Ukrposhta and PostEurop has started to select a sketch of a new postage stamp
The Ukrainian postal operator Ukrposhta and the Association of European Public Postal Operators PostEurop are launching a joint competition to select a design for a new postage stamp. The theme of the project is “Peace is the highest value of mankind!”.
The postage stamps-participants are subject to the following requirements - rectangular shape; the absence of direct national, political or military symbols, threatening or offensive phrases; the possibility of using both drawings and graphic visualizations through electronic formats. Also, the submitted images must not infringe copyright. Up to five entries from one participant are allowed.
It is noted that illustrators, artists and designers can take part in the competition by filling out the corresponding online questionnaire until July 8, 2022. One or more works that meet the conditions of the competition should be attached to the questionnaire.
Recall that PostEurop has repeatedly launched such qualifying contests. But this year, for the first time, the contestant from Ukraine will be chosen by popular vote by the Ukrainians themselves in the social networks of the postal operator Ukrposhta.
Also, the head of Ukrposhta, Igor Smelyansky, added that PostEurop suspended the membership of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus for an indefinite period. These are postal sanctions that act in support of Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression, which is supported by Belarus.
