With the autograph of Steve Jobs: a rare Apple-1 sold in the USA
Various records and huge sales often catch the eye during the New Year. Someone collects an almost innumerable number of New Year's decorations, and someone sells or buys rare equipment. For example, the recent news about the sale of an Apple-1 personal computer by the auction house RR Auction.

This unit was produced in 1976 and was offered for auction in fully functional condition. The winning bid was $442,118. The rarity of this Apple-1 is due to the fact that only 200 units of such equipment were produced in 1976. And at this time, every third device remained, that is, about 60-70 units. This and a personal note from Steve Jobs made this computer unique for collectors.
By the way, Apple-1, which left the hammer, was reanimated to a fully functional state in 2018. This was done by the well-known "apple" specialist Corey Cohen.

The lot was accompanied by a letter confirming Jobs' handwriting on the board, as well as Apple's signature cassette interface, a Sanyo 4205 monitor, the original instruction manual, and an ASCII keyboard from the time.

If we analyze the past sales of this equipment, then the sums reached a higher mark. However, the history of the device, its appearance, and technical condition were taken into account here. So far, the most popular vintage Apple equipment connoisseurs have put forward for the "Celebration" is an Apple-1 with an empty green printed circuit board, which was not sold to the public and was not part of the known series production.
