This coin was talked about last year. As early as December 2022, 8,000 silver collector coins dedicated to the current armed struggle of Ukrainians were issued. And finally, the other day, the official presentation took place.
During the exhibition at the National Bank of Latvia on January 26, a silver collector's coin "For the will of Ukraine" was solemnly presented, the denomination of which is 5 euros. The event was attended by the head of the Central Bank of Latvia, Martinš Kazaks, and the ambassador of Ukraine to Latvia, Oleksandr Mishchenko.
Previously, information about this coin appeared in the mass media. And the one who follows numismatic novelties could see it. However, the news about the official presentation should not be ignored either. After all, in my opinion, every such event draws the attention of the international community to Ukraine's struggle for freedom in the war with Russia.
The reverse side of which is decorated with the inscription "will", which is really quite concise and explains a lot without additional comments. It is the struggle for freedom that permeates the life of every Ukrainian.
And by the way, this numismatic novelty has not only symbolic, but also practical significance. After all, part of the income from each sold coin is sent to help Ukraine.
