Death with a typewriter scythe is a Banksy painting at auction in London
It is already becoming natural that the works of the famous British street artist Banksy are sold for millions of dollars. Therefore, no one will be surprised that this painting (not graffiti) will sell for more than $600,000-800,000.

And curiosity, first of all, is caused by the history of owning it. In 2010, the British asked the musicians from "Brace Yourself!", who were then called Exit Through the Gift Shop, to change the name of the group. And it was due to copyright issues and Banksy's Oscar-nominated documentary.

Later, the musicians received a gift for changing the name - the painting "Brace Yourself!".
And even after Sotheby's estimated the painting at £200,000, the musicians kept it, although they gave it away for the Stealing Banksy exhibitions in 2014 and Art of Banksy in 2021.

However, it cannot be said that it is very difficult for musicians to say goodbye to the work of a street artist. After all, "Brace Yourself!" it was necessary to keep in special conditions, which were not cheap.

After the sale of the painting, the money will be distributed between the musicians themselves and the music industry charity "MusiCares".
