A giant gold nugget found in a field in the Australian state of Victoria is a find for which many are ready to give their lives. I wonder how the person who accidentally discovered it felt?
The man, who did not want to be identified to the media, was researching an area of the state in Australia, better known as the Golden Triangle. In the 1800s, this place was considered the epicenter of the gold rush in the country.
After he discovered the nugget, he brought it to a nearby town for appraisal. To say that the find stunned appraisers would be an understatement.
When the man asked if he could get at least $10,000 for the nugget he had found, he was told that his find was worth much more. Then he admitted that he brought only half of the nugget for evaluation, and the other half remained at his house.
The whole found stone weighed 4.6 kg and contained 2.6 kg of gold.
