Heloise Kruger Miniature Collection

Heloise Kruger Miniature Collection
In the 1940s, a new collection was launched in the United States, assembled by Eloise Andrews Kruger (Eloise Andrews Kruger). We are talking about miniature interior items, which she was fond of throughout her life. She was interested in literally everything tiny: furniture, rugs, dolls, dishes. A significant part of the collection of miniatures are paintings - works of art of extremely fine workmanship.
Eloise Krueger began her career as a secretary, then took a job as an accountant, and eventually became an expert in the field of trade. During World War II, she headed the all-female accounting department. Thanks to numerous trips, Kruger was able to significantly expand her collection with unique pieces that she bought everywhere.
Kruger paid attention to detail, her collection includes pieces in different styles, including the Renaissance and early modern. These were her favorite eras, about which she read a lot. All miniatures in 1:12 scale were kept in a separate apartment rented near the house where Kruger lived.
The collector acquired most of the miniatures in the 1970s and 1980s. Kruger tried to learn as much as possible about the items received, corresponded with other collectors and wrote a number of articles for Miniature Magazine. During 1968 alone, she wrote over 80 letters to collectors and artists in which she mentioned her interest in miniatures. Sometimes, at her request, manufacturers produced scale models in the spirit of American neoclassicism.
