This autumn, the release of the Ukrainian film magazine Kіno-Kolo, which was published in 1997-2008, will resume. For the first time, the new issue will be shown at the international film festival "Kiev Year of Criticism", which will be held from 20 to 26 October at the cinema "Zhovten" (Kyiv). The journal will be available in print and electronic format. The revival of the periodical, which was talked about last year, was scheduled for April, the restart had to be postponed due to a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
"Kіno-Kolo" was founded by film critic Volodymyr Voytenko, published in Kyiv in Ukrainian with a circulation of 1000 copies. On the pages of the quarterly, the authors published news about Ukrainian and world cinema, and reviews of films. In 2005, a publishing house was opened that published KINO-KOLOGAZETA (26 issues) and several books on the history and theory of cinema. Shortly thereafter, the English version of the newspaper "KINO-KOLOdigest" appeared.
