The history of the creation of the first bag was quite interesting. It can be said that the designer invented her technique by accident. Judith Leiber ordered a gift for her friend, but due to carelessness of the postal service, the metal surface of the gift was badly damaged. Taking a creative approach to the problem, she used decorative crystals to cover up damage and scratches. Yes, the woman created, in the process of correcting an unfortunate nuisance, a new direction in the decor and design of bags.

Judith Leiber was inspired by art, travel and opera; brought the art deco style to the design of bags; drew on the works of Piet Mondrian, Georges Braque and Sonia Delaunay; in collaboration with Faith Ringgold, a collection of bags was created, which was inspired by Faith's quilted paintings.
