Fighting goose on guard of the Ukrainian sky: a new postage stamp was canceled in Vinnytsia
A new collectible stamp with the image of a fighting goose was redeemed in Vinnitsa. This event was dedicated to the restoration of the activities of the Museum of Ukrainian Marks named after. Jacob Balaban.

The stamp block consists of nine stamps, which depict a "fighting bird" in the form of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There is an association here between the pilot, who on October 12 saved hundreds of residents of Vinnitsa.
According to the head of the directorate of the Vinnitsa Ukrposhta Volodymyr Shalinovsky, the new stamps symbolize our unification, our victories.

Remarkably, Vinnitsa became the second region to present its own postage stamp.

Unfortunately, there were no philatelic products with a fighting goose in the free sale. In addition to those that were sold out at the presentation.
But the vintage block “Fighting goose-pilot. Guardians of the Ukrainian Sky”, which was made in four copies, could be purchased through a charity auction. The proceeds through the Foundation of the Podolsk Community Society were redirected to the purchase of winter sleeping bags for Ukrainian soldiers on the front line.
And a few more words about the museum, the restoration of which was timed to release new stamps. The Yakov Balaban Museum of Ukrainian Stamps is the first and only museum of historical philately in Ukraine. Here is the largest collection of Ukrainian stamps in the world, some of which exist only in a single copy.
Philatelists can replenish their collection of stamps in the updated section of the Violity website, which has recently been called “Philately. Postage and non-postage stamps”.
