The 1995 McLaren F1 was put up for auction in New York
Recently, the iconic 1995 McLaren F1 supercar appeared at RM Sotheby's auction in New York. For this fastest model of the 90s, it is planned to receive more than $ 20 million, and this is not surprising, given its technical uniqueness.
McLaren F1 is considered an iconic model in the automotive industry. In total, only 64 coupes were produced in the standard version, and the cost of these cars already exceeds $ 15 million. However, the supercar that appeared at the auction is worth even more, since its mileage is only 410 km. It is a true time capsule that has maintained its condition in excellent condition for almost 30 years.

Interestingly, this particular McLaren F1 was already up for auction in 2021, where it fetched $20.4 million. However, given the increased interest in classic supercars in the collector market, auctioneers expect the McLaren F1 to fetch a much higher price this time around.
It should be recalled that BMW developed a 6.1-liter 627-horsepower V12 with a 6-speed manual gearbox for such three-seater coupes with a carbon body. McLaren F1 is able to accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and develop 386 km/h. Before the Bugatti Veyron and Koenigsegg CCR appeared in 2005, it was considered the fastest car in the world.

The auction is scheduled for May 13-16, 2024.
The McLaren F1 continues to be not only a symbol of speed and luxury, but also the most desirable car for supercar collectors.
