Singer Prince's yellow guitar will be sold at an auction in the United States
Already this month, Julien's Auctions in California will put up for sale a yellow Cloud 3 guitar that once belonged to the legendary musician Prince. This musical instrument, which has become a symbol of the era, is expected to fetch between $400,000 and $600,000. The guitar may become the most valuable item of all that belonged to the musician.

Cloud 3 is a kind of culminating chord in Prince's career. With this guitar, the musician created unforgettable hits, including Purple Rain, Parade, Sign of the Times, Lovesexy and Diamonds and Pearls. The musical instrument witnessed Prince's enormous creative flourishing.
Interestingly, the last time a yellow Cloud 3 guitar was put up for sale was almost 20 years ago at Christie's auction for $5,240. Unfortunately, at that time, it was not possible to confirm its origin and attribute it to one of the original copies of the Cloud guitar played by Prince.

But now the Julien's auction house in California has confirmed the origin of the musical instrument. The auctioneers carefully examined the instrument, even used a computer tomography, and conducted an interview with the craftsman Dave Rusan, who created this guitar. The result of these studies was confirmation of the originality of the musical instrument.
Currently, the most expensive guitar ever owned by Prince is considered to be the Blue Teal Cloud, sold at auction in 2017 for $700,000.

This guitar will be joined at auction by Bob Dylan and Robbie Robertson's 1965 Fender Telecaster, Bono's 2005 Gretsch Irish Falcon, Steve Jones' 1974 Gibson Les Paul, Nancy Wilson's 1984 Duncan Quattro Electric, and more.
