"Hey, there on the mountain Sich is coming": an exhibition dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the formation of the USS Legion has started in Lviv Oblast
On May 9, the exhibition project called "Hey, there on the mountain Sich is coming" started in the Lviv Historical Museum. It was dedicated to two events - the 110th anniversary of the creation of the Legion of Ukrainian Sich Riflemen and the 160th anniversary of the birth of the organizer of the Sich and rifle movement in Galicia and Bukovyna Kyryl Trylovskyi.

More than 200 items related to the history of sniper shooting are available to the visitors of the exhibition. These are unique samples of Ukrainian phaleristics and spragistics. In particular, rare photos, postcards, archival materials, graphic works and paintings, personal belongings of famous historical figures.

A significant part of these exhibits is the result of the painstaking work of the museum's scientific staff, who were engaged in search, research and restoration.

The Lviv National Scientific Library named after V. Stefanyk, the Central State Historical Archive of Ukraine in Lviv, the Museum of the 58th Officers' House and the Lviv State Music Lyceum named after Solomiya Krushelnytska became partners of the event.

According to the organizers, this exhibition project not only glorifies outstanding figures of the sich and rifle movement, but also emphasizes the importance of preserving national identity and cultural values.

"Historical events marked in our project testify to the great achievements of the past, and also inspire us for the future. They emphasize the unstoppable willpower and readiness to defend one's state and freedom even in the most difficult times," said Roman Chmelyk, director of the Lviv Historical Museum.
The exhibition is open every day from 10:00 a.m. in the Lviv Historical Museum on the 3rd floor.
