The support of Ukraine by foreign countries is extremely important today. This applies to humanitarian aid, and the provision of temporary shelter to millions of Ukrainians, and the issue of various commemorative items in honor of our state and its unconquered people.
Recently, the Central Bank of Latvia put into circulation a silver collector's coin, the reverse side of which is decorated with the inscription "will". This is a really concise inscription that explains a lot. It is the struggle for freedom that permeates the life of every Ukrainian.
This numismatic novelty has not only symbolic, but also practical significance. After all, part of the income from each sold coin will be transferred to help Ukraine. Agree that this is significant not only moral, but also material support.
Involvement of Ukrainian artists in the design is becoming a common practice for foreign countries and their coins, medals, and postage stamps. At the invitation of the Latvian bank, Kateryna Bilobrova, Mykyta Kadan, Serhiy Maidukov, Roman Minin and Hanna Zvyagintseva took part in the competition. However, the design proposed by Serhiy Maidukov was chosen.
