Cabriolet or airship: a retro car from a Ukrainian designer has been put up for auction in Paris
Did you know that one of the Ukrainian designers in the past became the author of the "appearance" of the 1950 convertible? The Delahaye 135 MS retro car with convex headlights was invented by Yakov Savchuk.

This chic model of the premium French brand was produced from 1935 to 1954. In total, about 2,000 cars were created, most of which received body designs from leading ateliers.
As for this particular car, it was designed by a designer of Ukrainian origin Yakiv or Jacques Savchyk, whose real name was Savchuk. He was an emigrant who, at a young age, after arriving in France, founded the Saoutchik body shop in the suburbs of Paris.

Now this retro car, for which they want to receive about 700 thousand euros, is exhibited at the Parisian auction Artcurial.

If you look at the appearance of the car, it resembles an airship. It is dominated by convex shapes, there are even "wings". Available chrome parts, leather interior.
It is known that Yakiv Savchuk worked not only with Delahaye. Other global car brands — Mercedes-Benz, Hispano Suiza, Cadillac and Talbot — were able to appreciate his work. The Ukrainian's approach was characterized by avant-garde style and bold decisions.
Would you like to compete for this car?
