Mariupol Kuindzhi Gallery was completely looted and destroyed
Gallery named after Arkhip Ivanovich Kuindzhi is practically destroyed. The Russian invaders even stole the exhibits of the exhibition of children with disabilities.
The video, which shows the current state of the gallery, was presented by the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, Petr Andryushchenko. He published materials on his telegram channel.
The Russian military removed all valuable museum exhibits from the temporarily occupied Mariupol. Including the original paintings from the Arkhip Kuindzhi Art Museum.
The museum also kept other works by famous artists - Ivan Aivazovsky, Nikolai Glushchenko, Tatyana Yablonskaya, Mikhail Deregus and others. At the moment, the fate of these paintings is unknown.
The Art Museum named after Arkhip Kuindzhi was opened in Mariupol in 2010. It was located in the historical part of the city: a building built at the beginning of the last century and made in the Art Nouveau style.
The collection of works included 650 paintings, 960 graphic works, 150 sculptures, more than 300 works of arts and crafts.
