The National Bank of Ukraine has put into circulation a new commemorative coin dedicated to the territorial defense forces. This is another numismatic novelty, which allows emphasizing the importance of the Ukrainian military.
The face value of the new coin is 10 UAH. The reverse is decorated with the image of two stylized figures of military personnel, as well as the logo and the motto of the territorial harrow forces – "Ready for resistance". The obverse of the coin is identical to the obverse of the 10 hryvnia coin, which was issued in 2018. Around the ornamental image is the denomination, the year of minting and the coat of arms of Ukraine.
The circulation of the coin is 10,000,000 pieces. Including souvenir products in the form of special videos.
It is reported that more than 100 thousand Ukrainians joined the ranks of this branch of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Commemorative coins depicting military symbols and soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are a daily reminder to millions of Ukrainians about Ukrainian soldiers who today stood up to defend their country. The National Bank plans to expand the circulation and the number of series of commemorative circulating coins in the future. Presumably this will be done several times a year in accordance with international practice.
As a rule, commemorative coins do not have an investment purpose. They are bought as souvenirs, gifts, exhibits in the numismatic collection.
