Nothing will stop the collector: a Belgian lifted a rare Porsche sports car to the eighth floor of his apartment with a crane

Nothing will stop the collector: a Belgian lifted a rare Porsche sports car to the eighth floor of his apartment with a crane
They say different things about collectors. This is especially true of their "craziness" when it comes to rare exhibits that could end up in the collection. The same can be said about a Belgian who decided to use a crane to lift a sports Porsche 919 Hybrid worth several million euros to the eighth floor of a residential building.

When you read such news, you think that nothing is impossible for a person who is truly passionate about his work. The owner of the car is the Belgian Porsche dealer Luc Vanderfisten. I found out that this person not only manages two car dealerships, but is also an ardent fan of German cars.
Recently, he decided to add a rare sports car to his collection. Since this car is used only for racing and its "presence" is prohibited on public roads, the Belgian decided to use a crane and the balcony of his apartment.

However, lifting the sports car was not so easy. Porsche 919 Hybrid was lightened by 200 kg - the hybrid installation was removed, and the carbon body received a special coating to protect against rain and snow.

Let's figure out what made this car memorable? Porsche 919 Hybrid is a famous racing model. A few years ago, his sports prototype won the WEC championship three times and the 24 Hours of Le Mans as many times. This one is not surprising, because the car has a 900-horsepower hybrid system and develops over 350 km/h.

Do you think taking a sports car up to the 8th floor is crazy or not?
