These retro photographs of the Lviv region, dating back to 1899, depict the Jesuit College in Hirov. It was founded on August 1, 1883 in the area of the village of Bunkovichi in the south of the city of Khirov, Starosambirsky district, Lviv region.

The initiator of the appearance of the new institution of the Jesuit order was the rector of the Ternopil Jesuit educational institution Ignacy Moravsky.

By the will of the occasion of the battle of the First World War, the building of the board was avoided. But during the Polish-Ukrainian war, it changed hands several times. The college was heavily damaged by artillery shells.
