Madagascar is an island country located in the Indian ocean, 400 km from the coast of East Africa. In addition to the main island, there are many peripheral Islands - these territories have a wide natural diversity. However, the ecosystem is at risk because it can be disrupted by the invasion of a rapidly growing population.

The key areas in the country are tourism and agriculture. In recent years, investments have been actively received in the educational and healthcare sectors. They speak mainly two languages: Malagasy and French. These photos were taken relatively recently – in 1989. Typical everyday life in Madagascar 30 years ago.
