Ukrainian coins can be sold for thousands of hryvnias, or even more. For example, in February 2022, the cost of 10 kopecks of 1992 on the Violity website reached UAH 45,000. But this is not the limit.

The undisputed favorite among the coins of Ukraine are 2 kopecks of 1992 with a narrow wreath. A rare coin with an atypical wreath pattern, was minted by accident. You can get from 17,000 to 30,000 UAH for it. Among numismatists, a 10-kopeck coin of 1992 of the English mint is also of interest, which can be sold for 11,000-14,000 UAH.

Among those Ukrainian coins that can be sold at a high price are coins from the early 1990s and some coins from the 2000s. Some of the most desirable for numismatists are:

- 10, 25 and 50 kopecks 1992;
- 1 hryvnia 1992;
- 2 kopecks 1993;
- 1, 5 and 10 kopecks in 1994;
- 25 kopecks and 1 hryvnia 1995;
- 1, 2, 5 and 50 kopecks in 1996;
- 5, 10, 25 and 50 kopecks in 2001;
- 2, 25 and 50 kopecks in 2003;
- 1 hryvnia 2008.

Despite the fact that these coins are considered very rare, they can be found in wallets and piggy banks.

In determining the value of coins, a sans-serif edge, attraction to a magnet, a shifted pattern can help. However, there are exceptions here too. But only an expert numismatist can tell the final cost and value of a coin. Therefore, before putting up a coin for sale, you should consult with an experienced specialist or ask for an assessment on a photograph on a numismatic forum.

Coins with defective minting can cost a fortune. For example, 10 kopecks 1994 with two obverses, 50 kopecks without a year of issue with a double reverse or 1 hryvnia, 50 kopecks 1992 or 1996 with images at an angle.

Recall that the first Ukrainian coins began to be issued back in 1992 at the Lugansk Machine-Building Plant. In addition to standard coins in the “financial world”, collectible, experimental, defective and unapproved numismatic signs were minted. They differed in material, size, weight and year of manufacture. It is for such coins that collectors are most often chasing.

In the Violity website subsection “Coins of Ukraine. Medals and tokens of the National Bank of Ukraine” represented by more than 11.6 thousand active lots. They will serve as confirmation that Ukrainian coins can be a very profitable investment.
