Description:
In the autumn of 1992, coins of a new sample were put into circulation. A double-headed eagle and the inscription "Bank of Russia" appeared on the front side of metal rubles. Compared to the previous ones, the new banknotes were smaller, the metal used was cheaper. And, apparently, they were made in a hurry, since this period became unique in numismatics in terms of the number of various marriages.
The standard 10 rubles of 1992 were made of copper-nickel alloy, which does not have magnetic properties. Coins were minted by both mints (MMD and LMD). The monogram of the factories can be seen on the reverse (above the date of issue). Such dozens do not have significant collection value. The exceptions are non-standard magnetic versions of MMD, as well as bimetallic dozens of LMDs, the cost of which is more than 11 thousand rubles.
