In the middle of summer 2017, during the repair work, a cache of weapons was discovered.

For nearly 70 years, nothing indicated its location. It was hidden in the wooden ceiling above the porch of a villa in Korczyn (Poland).

The cache was accidentally discovered during repair. The builders immediately reported the find to the owner of the villa, Robert Soletsky.

In the cache there were two machine guns with spare shops, which were filled with cartridges. In addition, they found a folding ramrod for cleaning a gun. All this "wealth" was wrapped in a sleeve from an oiled military jacket.

The first submachine gun was STEN, the most massive submachine gun of the army of Great Britain and its dominions during the Second World War. He was in service with the British army until the early 1960s.

The second submachine gun was the UD-42 or "Marlin" - an American submachine gun from the Second World War. Designed in 1938 by Karl Swiebilius.
