Among the ruins of the ancient Roman theater in the city of Patara, which is located in Turkey, found a marble slab with an inscription that refers to a Senator named Tiberius Claudius Flavianus Titianus Celer. Little is known about this Senator. The text with his name is dedicated in the name of Celer's mother, Vilia Procula, who was a very influential resident of Patara. The slab was found near the stage - the artifact was broken into 27 fragments.

Thanks to the inscription, historians will be able to add to the scant information about the Senator. Until now, many scientists have doubted the real existence of this person. The text indicates that he held the post of Senator, ruled Cyprus, as well as the black sea province of Pontus. He performed various functions: was a judge, was a member of the city Committee responsible for the distribution of grain. About these achievements and told Vilia of Proculus.

Such messages were not uncommon in those days. The theater where the archaeologists found the slab was started by Vilia's father. Archaeologists believe that the dedication was made in 147 ad. Similar slabs found earlier were dedicated to the Emperor Hadrianus, the niece of the Emperor Trajan Salonia Matidia and other persons from the Imperial family.
