Among the ruins of Chatal-Huyuk, a large Neolithic settlement in southern Anatolia (modern Turkey), a residential quarter with the remains of houses and paved streets was found. A team of Turkish archaeologists, led by Associate professor Ali Umut Türkcan, are studying various aspects of the life of the inhabitants who inhabited the city, including social and cultural aspects.

Chatal Huyuk is one of the most famous and most important archaeological sites in Turkey. It is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List and is recognized as one of the oldest cities in the world, which was inhabited in the VII-VI thousand BC. For the first time, excavations began in the 1960s and are still being conducted. The area of the city can reach 20 hectares, just over 5% of the territory has been studied. With each new discovery, the structure of Chatal-Hyuk becomes clearer to scientists.
