In the field of Ukrainian easel painting, etching and lithography, an important place is occupied by the artist Henrietta Levitskaya. She was born in 1930 in Odessa and in the post-war period took a worthy place among the brightest representatives of the Lviv underground of the 60-80s. After graduating from the university, where Levitskaya mastered the basics of applied and decorative skills, she took up the decoration of buildings. She owns murals in the House of Culture and in the premises of the station in Drohobych. In the future, the artist was invited to different cities of Ukraine, where she painted pavilions of bus stations and interiors of educational institutions.

In the late 50s Levitskaya began to participate in various exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad. In 1980, together with other Lviv graphic artists, she went to Estonia, where she presented her works at the State Art Museum. Throughout her life, Henrietta Levitskaya studied new techniques, experimented, paid attention to details in her works, carefully drew each composition. Art theorists note such features of Levitskaya's work as a deep psychological context and a metaphorical entourage woven into it. In some works, you can see the encrypted image of the author himself. It is also important for her to reveal a person's connections with the world and time.

Guided by enthusiasm, Levitskaya replenished the arsenal of expressive means, as well as influenced other artists and the cultural life of Lviv. She worked with a stone on which she applied drawings, was in continuous search of new ways of color lithography. Some works are inspired by the graphics of other masters, for example, the work of Alexander Aksinin. She paid special attention to lithography, which gives an indescribable sense of freedom. In 1979, the artist's workshop celebrated the Graphics Day, the celebration of which has become a tradition. Levitskaya's works can be seen in the largest museums of Ukraine.
