Support for Ukraine through music: A famous pianist performed in front of the destroyed House of Culture in Irpin

The legendary pianist Darius Mazhyntas held an hour-long performance near the Irpin
House of Culture, which was destroyed by Russian troops. Thus, the musician demonstrated his respect for the heroic city and supported the entire Ukrainian people.

The winner of many competitions arrived on the territory of Ukraine on April 25. The next morning, Darius played Chopin's incredible nocturnes in the open air of the stricken city.

The black piano, which was delivered from the capital of Ukraine, was placed by the organizers of the event on a small surviving section of the square in front of the entrance to the House of Culture. The historic building itself is now destroyed. Inside it, the remains of burnt pianos are visible.



“Music can help people. Now I want to give concerts only in such symbolic places as today. I gave my heart to Ukraine. She is fighting not only for her own salvation, but for all of us.” - said the musician.
