It is impossible to predict anything. Who would have thought that among the ruins of a bombed-out school one could find a painting by an outstanding Ukrainian artist. But everything in turn.
Recently, information appeared on the Internet that on the territory of one of the Chernihiv schools, which was damaged after the shelling, a painting by Volodymyr Podlevsky "Moloditsy" from 1992 was found. By the way, the author himself announced this in one of his social networks. He found out about the painting by accident. However, this coincidence, I am sure, was extremely pleasant for him.
Volodymyr Podlevsky, a graduate of the Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, works in the technique of easel painting and levkas. He could be found at numerous all-Ukrainian, foreign, and international exhibitions and festivals. During 1990-2014, he held more than 30 personal exhibitions in Ukraine and the world.
The artist's works were exhibited in the regional art museums of Kyiv, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Chernihiv, in the local history museums of Zhytomyr and Poltava, in the collection of the Ukrainian Institute of Contemporary Art and the Ukrainian National Museum in Chicago, at the University of Arts and Sciences of Chicago, in private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
