The national operator of postal communication in its own way marks significant events for Ukrainians. In a philatelic way. Recently, a postage stamp dedicated to the anniversary of the victory of the band "Kalush Orchestra" at "Eurovision-2022" was issued.
On April 10, 2023, the ceremonial redemption of this philatelic novelty took place in the city of Kalush. The general director of "Ukrposhta" Ihor Smilyanskyi, the frontman of the winning band Oleg Psyuk and other guests were present at the event.
Even after the victory of the "Kalush Orchestra" band at the song contest, "Ukrposhta" promised to issue a special postage stamp. They kept their promise. The stamp has been issued and has already been redeemed. The philatelic novelty was called another symbol of "struggle in the war and the courage of our people to do everything to be heard."
And a few words about the postage stamp: face value — Lx6, sheet size — 104x108 mm, stamp size — 40x28 mm, number of stamps in a sheet — 6 pcs., circulation of a stamp sheet — 130,000. An envelope "First Day" was also issued for the stamp. an unmarked art envelope and an art postcard.
Svyatoslav Romanchaku was the author of the design, Olesya Vakulenko was the artist of the envelopes, Yuriy Sosnytskyi was the designer of the postcard.
