One of the largest collections of retro cars in the world, which no one knew about, will be put up for sale.

Mr. Palmen is quite reclusive, said Nico Aldering, the current temporary representative of the collection. Almost no one knew about the existence of this incredible collection, even the neighbors had no idea that there were so many cars nearby. The collector kept them in two warehouses and a church building. One of the neighbors said that he once tried to look inside, but the owner did not allow him.

In 2022, as a result of a fire in one of the premises, it was discovered for the first time that a huge number of classic cars were stored inside. Recently, Aldering Gallery became the new owner, as the previous owner could no longer keep the car due to personal circumstances.

“The collection is unique because Palmen did not focus on a brand or type. He's a big car enthusiast and knew a lot about them, but he bought what he liked," comments Aldering.

BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Jaguar, Maserati, Aston Martins, Facel Vegas and Lancia, and that's not all, the list of brands is very diverse. Most of the original cars are in perfect condition. "Mr. Palmen has never ridden them ... and I have seen no signs that they have been repaired."

At this time, all cars are stored in one place. In May and June, part of the collection will be presented at the international online auction Classic Car Auctions. It is already known for sure about the sale of the Lancia Aurelia Spider and the Mercedes-Benz 300S Roadster.
