Three stunning Princess Diana dresses were sold at Julien's Auctions and Turner Classic Movies' Legends of Hollywood and Royal auction from September 6 to 8. Highlighting amazing artifacts from the worlds of film, fashion and royalty, Princess Diana's wardrobe stole the show, bringing in over $1.65 million.

The metallic gown worn by Princess Diana to the world premiere of Hot Shots in London in 1991, designed by Bruce Oldfield, sold for 571 500$, exceeding its estimate. Two other Princess Diana dresses also sold for similar prices: one with a black corset sold for 571 500$, and a shoulderless dress with black velvet inserts sold for 508 000$. Both dresses were designed by Catherine Walker, Princess Diana's favorite designer and personal friend.
A pink Givenchy couture evening dress worn by Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly in Blake Edwards' classic 1961 film Breakfast at Tiffany's sold for 444 500$.

If glamorous dresses aren't your style, the auction also included a burgundy Starfleet command jacket worn by William Shatner as James T. Kirk in the 1982 film Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. It sold for 127 000$.
