Elite whiskey of Queen Elizabeth II: The Glen Grant Devotion 70-Year-Old 1953 at Sotheby's auction
The Sotheby's auction house presents an exclusive copy of The Glen Grant Devotion 70-Year-Old whiskey, released in 1953. This unique 70-year-old whiskey is a true work of art and commemorates Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's seventy years of service and dedication to nature.
The Glen Grant Devotion 70-Year-Old was matured in a single French oak cask, pre-soaked in colors sherry, and bottled at 55.5% alcohol by volume.
The creation of this unique spirit was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Master Blender Dennis Malcolm OBE and the distillery team, as well as award-winning Master Artisan John Galvin and Hot Glass Master Brodie Near of CLASSROOM.
In total, only 7 decanters were created, each of which symbolizes a decade of aging of this delicious drink. However, this decanter, number 1, stands out among them. It is decorated with gold engraving, comes with a 20 ml miniature chess piece and a handcrafted set reflecting the seven sides of the decanter.
Proceeds from the sale of this whiskey will be used to support the conservation of Scotland's natural forests and will be donated to the Royal Scottish Forestry Society, which has Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II as a patron. The initiative will continue the work of the Royal Scottish Forestry Society and the Major, who has created his beloved 27-acre Garden of Splendor, with a new planting location on the Seaside plateau.

This Glen Grant Devotion 70-Year-Old collection is up for auction with lots closing on September 22nd at 2:01 pm CET. The lot is expected to fetch between £70,000 and £110,000.
