They tried to take the collection of banknotes and postage stamps across the Ukrainian-Polish border
The joint efforts of Ukrainian border guards and customs officers managed to prevent the illegal importation of a collection of old banknotes and postage stamps into Poland.

It is reported that the 37-year-old German citizen tried to hide objects of cultural value from the law enforcement officers. The man was traveling to a neighboring country, and during the inspection, 13 banknotes issued in 1908-1933, 4 banknotes dated 1923 and 30 postage stamps were found.
The border guards, together with the customs officials, drew attention to the suspicious behavior of the train passenger and carefully examined his personal belongings. And it was during the inspection that it turned out that the man tried to hide the aforementioned collectibles.

Currently, the collection, which may be of cultural and historical value, has been removed and is under examination.
It should be recalled that cultural values seized by customs or law enforcement agencies, as well as confiscated by court decision, are transferred free of charge to the Ministry of Culture and Arts of Ukraine, the Main Archives Administration of Ukraine, which ensure their storage, examination and information about them in order to clarify their ownership .

After the establishment of the right of ownership of the specified cultural values, they are transferred in the established order to their legal owner or a person authorized by him.
