In previous articles, we have repeatedly presented the gold coins of Great Britain. Today our story is about a small but very interesting coin of South Africa . The coin is extremely interesting for both investors and coin collectors. This is the floor of a sovereign issued in 1952 with a total weight of 3.99 grams, made of 916.7 gold. The coin was minted in the amount of 16,000 copies. The Union of South Africa emerged after the Anglo - Boer War in 1910 following the example of the Commonwealth of Australia and united two British colonies and two Boer republics. Like other British dominions, South Africa gradually expanded its powers until it received full autonomy in internal and external affairs. In 1961, the Republic of South Africa (South Africa) was proclaimed. This coin was minted in memory of George VI who died in 1952. And of course, valuable gold coins are always available in in our section.
